Oakland School for the Arts Performs on Broadway!

Come to Jack London Square every Tuesday in May to listen to the wide variety of music coming out of Oakland School for the Arts!! From string ensembles to jazz combos, OSA offers a wide spectrum of styles providing students age 10-17 performance opportunities across The Bay Area as well as comprehensive study in music history, theory and performance practice.

Oakland School for the Arts is an accredited public charter school founded by Governor Jerry Brown in 2002. The school offers an immersive arts education for students in 6th -12th grade in a college preparatory setting, providing unique opportunities for learning, innovation, expression and personal growth. We are comprised of ten schools, or emphases: Literary Arts, Theatre, Vocal, Instrumental, Visual, Circus, Production Design, Dance, Figure Skating, and Digital Media.
